Upcoming Night Work at Harry Tracy

The project team expects night work to begin at the plant on Tuesday, May 27th. The new shift is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., Monday through Friday until mid-July. Saturday work will continue as usual, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This swing shift is needed to construct a 78-inch treated water pipeline within the plant property. The new pipeline runs through the main road of the plant. Work in this area must be scheduled at night to avoid conflict with daytime construction and normal plant operations.

The plant is currently online to treat water from the Crystal Springs Reservoir System and provide water to wholesale customers in San Mateo County.

Night lighting is pointed downward and faced away from residential areas. Noise monitors will be present every night during the swing shift to maintain compliance with local ordinances, and deliveries are scheduled during the day shift.
