Swing Shift Resumes on July 21
Beginning this Monday evening, July 21st, night
work will take place at the plant from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Work will be performed overnight inside the new 11 million
gallon Treated Water Reservoir. Neighbors of the plant are unlikely to hear
indoor work. However, OSHA regulations (federal and state Occupational Safety
and Health Administration) require backup alarms on small trucks and other
vehicles that workers use during the swing shift.
On Wednesday evening, July 23rd, night work will
continue outdoors to complete the 78 inch treated water pipeline that will
carry drinking water to our wholesale customers. The pipeline crosses the main
road inside the plant. Construction in this area must take place overnight in
order to allow for normal plant activities during the day.
These projects are scheduled to take approximately six
weeks. Swing shifts will be necessary periodically through December 2014.
Noise monitors will be present every night to ensure
compliance with local laws. Please call us 24-hours a day at (866) 973-1476
with any questions or concerns.
