While night work is now underway at the plant, the crew will take a break for Labor Day weekend, Saturday through Monday. A swing shift is scheduled for Friday night, August 29th.
Crews typically work until
4:30 a.m., with some indoor activities taking place 24 hours a day.
On Tuesday night, September
2, night work will resume on the San
Bruno side of the plant. The team is constructing a
new 78-inch pipeline to carry drinking water to our wholesale customers, which
deliver water to you and your San
Mateo County
neighbors.
When complete, the new Treated Water Reservoir will provide up to 140 million gallons of drinking water per day after a major earthquake.
In mid-September, we expect
night work activities to begin on the Millbrae
side of the plant. Please call us at (866) 973-1476 to make sure your address is on the
mailing list for our next Construction Notice.
A new flow
meter will measure the plant’s output once the new 11 million gallon reservoir
is online.
The work at Harry Tracy is
now 85% complete and on schedule to finish major construction in December 2014.
