Early Morning Concrete Pour at Harry Tracy Water Treatment Plant: July 26

The Harry Tracy project contractor will be pouring concrete on Thursday, July 26^th beginning at 7 a.m.

Expect frequent concrete truck deliveries on Crystal Springs Road between 7 a.m. and noon. A total of 65 trips are anticipated through 6 p.m. A similar one-day pour is expected on Friday, August 3^rd.

Sawyer Camp Trail 2-Day Closure – July 25 & 26

Sawyer Camp Trail will be closed for two days on Wednesday, July 25^th and Thursday, July 26^th for construction . The entire trail will be closed and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 27^th.

Additionally, Sawyer Camp Trail will close on the morning of Sunday, August 5 for the annual Tour de Peninsula bike ride. The event raises money for the San Mateo County Parks system and originates at Coyote Point Park in Burlingame (near SFO). Crystal Springs Road between Polhemus and Skyline has reopened, but construction and periodic lane closures continue. Flaggers are present to direct cars and bicycles through one open lane during construction hours, Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

18-Day Road Closure: Crystal Springs Road between Polhemus and Skyline/Hwy 35

Crystal Springs Road between Polhemus and Skyline/Hwy 35, in unincorporated San Mateo County just south of the Town of Hillsborough, will be closed be for 18 consecutive days from Monday, June 11^th to Friday, June 29^th . The road closure is necessary to replace a regional water pipeline as part of the Crystal Springs Pipeline No. 2 project.  

The closure will be in effect for cars and other vehicles 24 hours a day, Monday through Sunday, from June 11 to June 29. Bicycles only will have through access on Sundays to Sawyer Camp Trail. The road will be closed for cyclists Monday to Saturday – including Saturdays June 16^th and 23^rd.

· Take Crystal Springs Road (North)

· Turn Left on El Cerrito

· Turn Left on Hayne Road, continue under 280

Look How Far the Water System Improvement Program Has Come

The Water System Improvement Program (WSIP) is $4.6-billion of infrastructure upgrades, including more than 80 projects located in six Bay Area counties to ensure the highest quality drinking water and a reliable water supply to customers following an earthquake. These seismic improvements include dams, tunnels, pipelines, treatment plants and many more facilities that serve 2.6 million Bay Area customers. 2011 marked the start of the WSIP’s most active construction year to date. As of March 31, 2012, 55 out of 81 local and regional projects have been completed. All WSIP projects are forecasted to be complete in 2016. Night Work at the Harry Tracy Water Treatment Plant Begins May 29th

Night work at Harry Tracy begins on Tuesday, May 29^th and will continue throughout the month of June. The temporary night shift work announced earlier in May was postponed to the day after Memorial Day. Work hours are 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.  Crews will be excavating a pipe in the main road within the plant as part of the seismic upgrade of the water system. The work on the plant’s main road must be done at night so that daily Operations and regular construction activities may continue during the day.

Our contractor will monitor noise each night to ensure levels comply with local ordinances. All work will take place within the plant and no haul trucks will be on the public roadways during the night shift. Night lighting will be confined to the specific work area.

The night shift work previously planned for this week at Harry Tracy has been postponed to late May and early June. Construction work at the plant will finish by 6 p.m. this week.
