Night Work Continues at the Harry Tracy Water Treatment Plant

Night work on the new 78-inch treated water pipeline will continue at the plant through early September. This swing shift is currently scheduled Monday to Friday, 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Noise monitors will take readings every night near the entrance to the plant on Crystal Springs Road to ensure compliance.

Inside the new 11 million gallon Treated Water Reservoir, work will take place 24 hours a day. Construction workers are coating the inside of the tank to make sure it is sealed and water-tight. Neighbors are unlikely to hear noise from work inside the reservoir tank.

Concrete trucks are scheduled to use Millbrae’s Helen Drive this Friday, August 1st from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enter the plant via the Helen Gate. Our neighbors on Helen Drive may notice a truck approximately every 20 minutes during those hours. Flaggers will be present to ensure safety.

Night work on the Millbrae side of the plant near Sycamore Drive is expected to begin after Labor Day.
