Controlled Blast Scheduled for Monday, July 20th.

The contractor has scheduled a controlled blast at the South Shaft on Monday, July 20th.

All indicators for vibration, noise and air quality are below the thresholds and are measured constantly.Controlled blasting can take place between 7am and 6pm Monday through Friday.

All safety and noise control measures are in effect and the work is performed in accordance with California Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) and environmental regulations.

  1. last shaft depths were reported at 65' and 35'; how deep are they now?

  2. Hello. Both the north and south shafts are at the final design depth.

    The south shaft depth is -154 feet. They are now excavating the starter tunnel – which is horizontal – headed towards the north shaft.

    The north shaft depth is -58 feet.
